Style Rock Alternative

Biography Already mutual friends beforehand, The Intrinsics formed as a band upon the arrival of rhythmic exocet Adam Jones in late 2007. Since then, the songs have come thick and fast, courtesy of guitarist Joel Miles. Tunes such as the pounding 'This Is History' and the anthemic 'After All' have led to the band attracting a large and loyal local fan base. Along with air-play on various radio stations the band has drawn comparisons to Manchester giants Oasis. Their sound heavily indebted to bands such as The Who, The Libertines, Arctic Monkeys and The Beatles; The Intrinsics' music truly has the blood of British rock and roll coursing through its veins. They mount a powerful live assault propelled by Miles' searing guitar, Calum Stronach's driving bass, Jones' explosive drumming and frontman Dan Wild's raw vocals. Having honed their ability through a series of local gigs and studio sessions in their native North Wales, the band are now set to launch their assault of indie rock 'n' roll on the wider stage and plan to gig the UK throughout 2009.
